“Arch” Backpack

This research final for my Design Principles II class was entirely a learning experience for me. I had never made a backpack before, let alone made from mesh and foam materials. These materials were introduced to me by my professor who had worked in the footwear industry for many years. Interviewing a local physical/sports therapist, I designed this backpack to combat poor posture in students. My research also extended into historical archives of load-bearing backpacks while taking into account new materials.
