Laser cut and engraved leather using a combination of rasterised graphics and vector lines. Each wallet is made of two parts that are machine-stitched together.
The idea of dropping or losing one’s wallet among fall leaves, and the phrase “money doesn’t grow on trees”, inspired me to create the leaf wallet. I had just learned how to use the laser cutter and was excited to experiment with non-paper materials. Building an easily repeatable file, I created multiples of the leaf wallet to be sold online and in-person at the RISD Create Fair.
